A wonderful insight into the 'Eastern' mind, but not the oriental philosophy aspect - thank *** - but the god-driven mind of a clever woman learning to live in London from 1970 on.

It is a sobering prospect that Individualism as a central plank of Freedom is a disastrous goal for society compared with some 'faith + authority' -ism, under Islam for instance.

Thanks for your excellent comment at 'beyond belief'. Though I am breaking new ground all the time in this department... If I am to enjoy a healthy life, with healthy relationships, surely, sometimes, I need to be the one who brightens peoples day, as people sometimes brighten mine!?

I didn't quite understand the 'Fashion your own company to be someone you can live with' part friend, but agree with the reaching out to those who reach in part! To be honest Bob, that is my philosophy, at least in theory anyway, I sometimes forget, and try to get from people who can't/won't give, which causes me pain, but I do it of less nowadays at least! :)

Would be interested in any further thoughts you may have :)Apprentice of Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07975992549551934246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892600483005275853.post-88393338392914974142010-08-27T22:47:13.284-07:002010-08-27T22:47:13.284-07:00This little piece deserved and deserves comment.Wh...This little piece deserved and deserves comment.Who passed by and did not reply to your 'hello'? So there you have it perhaps, Craig. Do things for people you can help, and ignore the ones too busy or selfish to notice your existence. There are too many people in the world anyway - fashion your OWN COMPANY to be someone you can live with, and reach out to those who reach in. Dammit - I should charge for this. And double-dammit, I let the monkey sign on before me. Thanks for your emails - looking for the 'answers' you mentioned. Take care. Apologies for the ...Hi Bob and thanks for posting.

Apologies for the delay, but it seems my blogger dashboard (or my laptop) hides comments and then presents them when it sees fit!? Like 9 days later??? Anyhow...

I think I have an idea of the 'forces' that change how the masses think as you mentioned... and yes, a complex web of relationships, greed, corruption, need, supply, demand, nature etc... it surely must be...

I am interested though Bob, about what you meant on the 'hidden agenda' possibly being to slow down consumption and reliance on foreign power? Interesting statement...

And common sense sees through my limited political knowledge to be able to agree that most voters vote how you say... as humans are generally lazy and greedy...

CATApprentice of Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07975992549551934246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892600483005275853.post-25224008715728245552010-08-23T13:49:42.623-07:002010-08-23T13:49:42.623-07:00Me again, just when you were thinking..........
I...Me again, just when you were thinking..........

It seems to me Craig, that you can wonder all you like about your potential, but potentials are not written in stone - they change every day in line with how the present affects you. And the present includes influence by other people, people you didn't know yesterday!

Perhaps you could get out of your current situation completely, do some voluntary service somewhere poor and see what you think you could do with meaning to YOU. Stuff Yoga, and stuff it TO-DAY, Go somewhere, do something for others AWAY from the situation that has brought you to a confusing present.

Your 'uncompleted' experiences are GOLD in another situation. VSO, for instance, can take you places where giving your gold away may show you who you really are, and enrich YOUR life. We who want to know answers are faced with the fact, I believe, that truth is buried in the serious studies available, and not in the noisy opinions (If that's what they are)of over-paid 'professional' journalists and their editors who never tell us who is paying them to say what.

However, most people are persuaded by the media, and none of us have the time to study anything but a tiny fraction of data available. Climate change has been happening for millions of years, and even if man's effect on this is minimal or non-existent, the forces at work to change how the masses think is beyond our influence (you and me, that is) Also, if the hidden agenda is to slow down consumption, and reliance on foreign power, this may not be a bad thing.

Even if it's based on lies and deception.

Most voters vote on the basis of their stupid needs and greeds, not complex truth.

Gosh! what an un-PC, arrogant, cynical position - must be worth posting by Dr.A.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15397160420406462291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7892600483005275853.post-26750087975397600302010-08-06T09:24:59.578-07:002010-08-06T09:24:59.578-07:00I don't know what you mean by 'worry' ...I don't know what you mean by 'worry' Why not be 'unhappy' if that's what you prefer.
